Plastic extruders can be divided into single-screw extruders, twin-screw extruders and multi-screw extruders according to the number of screws. At present, single-screw extruders are the most widely used and are suitable for the extrusion processing of general materials. The twin-screw extruder generates less heat due to friction, the material is sheared more evenly, the screw has a larger conveying capacity, the extrusion volume is relatively stable, the material stays in the barrel for a long time, and the mixing is even.
Single-screw extruders occupy an important position both as plasticizing and granulating machinery and as molding and processing machinery. In recent years, single-screw extruders have developed greatly in the industry.
The twin-screw extruder has good feeding characteristics and is suitable for powder processing. It has better mixing, exhaust, reaction and self-cleaning functions than the single-screw extruder. It is characterized by processing plastics and blending with poor thermal stability. It shows its superiority even more when using materials. On the basis of twin-screw extruders, in order to make it easier to process blends with poor thermal stability, multi-screw extruders have been developed, such as Guanghua Plastic Extruder.
1. According to the number of screws, they are divided into single-screw extruders, twin-screw extruders and multi-screw extruders;
2. According to whether there is a screw in the extruder, it is divided into screw extruder and plunger extruder;
3. According to the operating speed of the screw:
Ordinary extruder: rotation speed below 100r/min;
High-speed extruder: rotation speed is 100~300r/min;
Ultra-high speed extruder: rotation speed is 300~l500r/min.
4. Classification according to the assembly structure of the extruder: there are integral extruders and separate extruders;
5. According to the spatial position of the screw in the extruder, it can be divided into horizontal extruder and vertical extruder;
6. Depending on whether the extruder is vented during processing, it can be divided into vented extruders and non-vented extruders.
