Basic methods of thermoforming

There are many methods for plastic thermoforming, which can be divided into two categories: compression molding and differential pressure molding according to the forming power. According to the molding mold, it can be divided into several methods such as single male mold, single female mold, counter mold, and no mold.
Compression molding, also known as mechanical stretch molding, is a molding method that uses a single mold or a pair of molds to mold plastic sheets into various parts with the help of external mechanical pressure or self-weight. The male mold means that the shape of the mold is convex, and the female mold means that the shape of the mold is concave. The mold only molds one side of the product, and the other side is exposed to the air. It is different from the press molding of one-time molding processing.
